Good information for cruise planning
Very fun read. Lots of excitement, danger and humor. You can't go wrong with this one. It's got it all

A great travel narrative for the experienced boater or just someone with a casual interest. Doc's easy writing style makes you feel like you are with them on this epic journey. ( Disclaimer I worked with Doc for many years in Beaumont TX). The incredible detail and terrific photos will have the reader laughing,worrying,sometimes on the same page, but still anxious to continue on this trip.I personally liked the amount of detail about the trip and the boating "issues". A fun read. Buy this book, you will love the story.

I read a lot of non-fiction boating / nautical books. This has to be one of my favorites. The author really knows how to add humor to keep the reader entertained. Great read for anyone interested in boating expeditions.
I was hoping for more details on fuel consumption, maintenance and costs. Although you will read about a couple of intense situations, reading this book makes it look like just about anybody could purchase a boat without big boat experience and complete the trip safely. If you are looking for a good high level overview of completing the great loop this is an excellent resource.
